We join Atembo and Kiza, the real men behind this latest novel, as they recount fleeing rebel soldiers, escaping government military camps, and crossing borders with nothing but the clothes on their backs. In the most confronting of situations, they managed quiet moments of deep reflection, these two men share how a small, Bible based community in the Kakuma refugee camp changed everything not through miracles or spectacle, but through radical, unmistakable love. Martha lives in Paris, Ontario, Canada and is a member of the Grand River Christadelphian Church or ecclesia, Atembo Munga is from Eldoret Ecclesia in Kenya and Kiza Fidele is still from Kakuma Ecclesia but is currently studying and working in Nairobi, Kenya and attends on of the Christadelphian ecclesias in that city.
These two brothers called Kakuma Refugee Camp home for many years, but despite the harsh conditions are thankful for the experience as it brought them to Christ. The camp is located in the remote Turkana County of northwestern Kenya, currently houses over 300,000 refugees and asylum seekers from more than 25 countries.

God’s presence is highlighted within these personal and national tragedies.
